This website is intended to serve two purposes:

1) To help those who are in crisis, newly separated from their children or faced with living in poverty, to get through the process.

2) For those past crisis, to help coordinate work on legislative reforms to support two parent involvement and reasonable support orders.

We are a group of men and women who have experienced discrimination in the Connecticut family court system. Connecticut courts have not been friendly toward the concept of joint custody, or shared parenting. Connecticut family courts tend to treat children in a divorce as the property of their mother, and a financial obligation of their father. There is a pretense of a determination of the best interest of the children, but almost always, primary physical custody is granted to the mother. The loss or significant minimization of the father – child relationship is often heart-wrenching to the children and to their Dad.
